A Glimpse Of The Inspiration Behind Our Pumpkin Designs
Did you know that all of the items in our shop are created with the intention of brightening your home and your life? I’ve never shared a blog detailing the thought that goes into any of our designs, so I thought this would be the perfect time to start!
As you might already know, each design that you see on our tea towels, refrigerator magnets, stickers, mugs, Swedish dishcloths; basically everything you see in our shop was thoughtfully hand-illustrated by yours truly! With the intention of creating handmade goods for women like you who want to bring vibrance and happiness into your home, it’s important to me that every design involves lots of love and thought.
One very special design that we’ve now brought back over the years is our Ordinary Pumpkins Towel. Our amazing shoppers and retailers have been such huge fans of this design and message that we even created a similar Swedish dishcloth design, and don’t forget about our Full Pattern Pumpkin Flour Sack Towel too! All of these items incorporate our pumpkin designs but are also very different, making them such a perfect fall kitchen trio!
I created this pumpkin design because of my love for Cinderella pumpkins and the way that each one is totally unique. The colors are fun, vibrant, and different from your average orange pumpkin! The Ordinary Pumpkins Towel reads, "be yourself. the patch is full of ordinary pumpkins,” and the Swedish dishcloth says, "embrace what makes you different". I just love this concept in a world where comparison is 100% the thief of joy. We are all bombarded with what seems like peoples’ perfect lives on Instagram every day. Personally, I need to remind myself that perfection is impossible to achieve and that joy is much easier to reach when we stay true to ourselves. So these illustrations and messages are just a simple reminder to be yourself and embrace what makes you different!
On the topic of everyone trying to do the same things to look and feel successful and happy, I’ve found that many similar items are carried throughout big box stores. So, just like the towel says, I think it’s great to be able to shop for items that are totally you. I love bringing unique designs to the table that women can be excited about and can also rely on as a trusted source for their home decor!
