Seasonal recipes are such a special thing - you know, those recipes that make their way back into our grocery list when the holidays roll around? In our home, we always have some elaborate Christmas and Thanksgiving dishes that take quite a bit of time to put together, but the effort that goes into them is so worth it when we have our closest loved ones gathered around the table for these special occasions. 

This recipe that I’m about to share is NOT one of those 15 ingredient-long, time-consuming recipes, but, it’s definitely just as tasty! Plus, not only will this green bean casserole recipe be the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving spread, but it will also be one of the easiest.

Moira’s Green Bean Casserole

1 stick butter

6 T. flour

7 cans French style green beans, drained

16 oz. sour cream

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese


- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

- In a pan, melt a stick of butter.

- Add in flour and whisk until smooth.

- Add sour cream.

- Drain green beans and add to the mixture.

- Put in a greased 9x13-inch pan.

- Add shredded cheese to the top of the green bean mixture.

- Bake for 30 minutes.
