If you live in the Midwest like I do, you know winter isn’t exactly winning any "favorite season" contests.
Especially when you have little ones. (Trust me, I’d know!)
The days feel long when it’s too cold to go outside, the thermostat barely budges above freezing, and darkness falls by 5:00 p.m.
Winter. Sigh. It’s the season that dares us to slow down and find beauty in stillness—a challenge that’s not always easy to embrace.
I’ll admit it: there have been moments I’ve downright loathed winter. Dreamed of warm beaches, golden sunshine, and fast-forwarding straight to spring.
But then…
Twinkle lights. ✨

Hot chocolate. Books. Soup.
Winter brings its own kind of magic—little moments that feel even more special because of the cold days and long nights. And honestly? If winter disappeared, I’d miss those cozy joys. (Especially the soup!!! 🍲)
Winter invites us to slow down. To stay home. To savor the small comforts that make a house feel like home sweet home.
